KSAAG Vision & Objectives
VISION To campaign for the establishment of Nama as one of the official languages
To canvas the reawakening/ revival of cultural identity for the descendents of the Khoe San
MISSION
To raise the level of public awareness around the Khoe Khoen and San cultures, and its influences on other languages and cultures.
To set processes in place for the preservation of Nama; which is one of the oldest yet one of the most endangered languages in Southern Africa
AIMS & OBJECTIVES
To promote and create conditions for the development and use of Nama
The primary objectives is to establish / assist in the formation of a dedicated Nama language learning facility.
Create cross-cultural interest / appreciation for the Nama language
The awareness group aims to act as a voice addressing relevant current concerns related to the descendants of Khoesan
Acts as a vehicle to mobilize social responsibilities around the Khoesan
Act as a pressure group to ensure compliance with heritage legislation
Gain access / Acquire ancestral Khoe Khoen and San land (burial sites…)
Forward strategic alliances with other like-minded groups / organizations
